Vegas

Well i have decided to put a real post up on the awesome time I had in vegas. We left on friday and had a good flight down there. we stayed at the wynn on floor 21 and the elevators were fast. we got there about noon and had couple hours before we had to go to our first event. meeting lasted till 5 then i played a little slots. Then we had to go get ready for the dinner/awards banquet. It was pretty fancy. Food was good. salad/chicken/ice cream. But i would've been good with a big burger and fries instead. then did some more slot playing and the slots where not very nice to me so i went to bed. We awoke and walked the strip. We walked all the way down to the excalibur hotel with stops at the various casinos along to way. it was nice and warm out and sunny so i was able to walk around with t-shirt and jeans. It was nice...played a little blackjack at belagio and pulled the free slot at the tropicana to get my free deck of cards. walking down the strip there was a lamborgini driving by that was sweet. also heard a c6 vette with some nice exhaust. can't wait till it gets warmer here so i can drive my camaro around. it was a nice long walk. i mapquested driving directions from the wynn to the excalibur and it is 2.25 miles one way. not counting all the walking we did inside the various casinos. when we got back i played some blackjack and was doing real good then got a phone call that said i needed to get my suit on for another dinner. so i left being up a little money and got dressed. the room was very nice. food was ok and the service should have been better, but oh well. cut out of there early cause i had some more gambling to do. i went to the played some craps for the 3rd time in my life, but the first time in Las Vegas put some money down and went up and down and i was down to 20. table min bet is was 10 so i put one bet on the passline and had only 10 left there was a guy standing watching the table. and was asked if he wanted it cause he would be the next shooter. he said ok and put some money down. man o man was he good. kept on rolling real good numbers. various times the would call out six four and then roll a six four. call an eight then roll an eight etc. well when he finally crapped and had to pass the dice i was up 3times of what i started with. so i cashed out my chips and went back to the room with a big smile on my face. the next morning we headed back for milwaukee. it was an awesome weekend that had a total cost (food, room, flight and prizes)of $60. So if anybody needs someone to go to vegas give me a call

Thanks for filling us in on a little more than "I went to vegas." :-) It sounded like a blast and seeing how excited you and dad were i'm so glad it was as good as you had hoped. Pictures are great. Maybe someday i'll learn to gamble...I just have to roll a 7- right?

When I read your first blog about Vegas, this is just what I was picturing. I have been to Vegas few times, and it is always fun. I never gamble, though. Mostly because I suck at it.

I once bet on a dog race, and the dog I picked was still rounding the first turn when all the other dogs were already off the track and back in the building. I am not exaggerating. It was THAT bad, and that's how it usually goes whenever I try to gamble. I guess I'm a better cheerleader than a player.

I am glad you guys had so much fun. Thanks for the pics and the story.

Love,
Aunt Rita

Dear Greg,

THANKS very much for your blog on Vegas! Truly, I mean this...it's just like I was right there with you!!! (Okay, I know I wrote that on your last blog about Vegas too, but this time, I REALLY mean it!!!)

Your details were fantastic! I LOVED reading it! I especially got a kick out of how you even described that C6 Vette's EXHAUST! At first, I thought you meant the exhaust FUMES...like maybe they came out with some curly-q design or something...and then I realized you were actually talking about the EXHAUST (system!) Oh man, I had a good laugh with myself about that one!!

I honestly can't wait for your next trip/adventure/blog! I am impressed with your details and all that you wrote...Vince and I went there on our honeymoon for just a few days (we drove about 4,000 miles all over the western United States) and it was fun to hear about Vegas NOW as opposed to the good ole' days. Oh, I can assure you this...Uncle Vince is not nearly as good as you are in the casino!!

I look forward to seeing you all in person and looking at pictures and hearing more. I'm really glad you posted pictures AND a story! It was very fun to read about!!

love,
~aunt kelly
